There was a boy and his name was Jack and a girl who's name was Pega. Pega and Jack both got bored one day and went by an ocean and started skipping rocks. Pega thought she heard sounds and got scared. Jack didn't hear anything. Pega went to go throw a rock when something came out of the water and then went back down. Jack was turned around and didn't see anything so they went home because Pega was scared. They didn't tell there parents because they wouldn't be able to go back. So the next day the went back and was throwing rocks again.Well they picked up another rock about ready to throw it when something jumped out of the water. Pega wanted to know what it was so she asked if they could stay and see what it was. They did and they found out that it was a mermaid. Pega got so excited she wanted to go under water to get a closer look at the mermaid. Jack said no that she didn't need to see it.Pega got mad and went home and went to bed. When everybody was asleep she snuck out and went to go find the mermaid. Jack had a feeling that Pega was going to go find the mermaid so he went to go check in her room and she wasn't there. So he ran outside and he knew she couldn't swim and he went and looked in the water and she was struggling and he jumped in and got her out. He told her that if mom found out they would be in trouble. Jack went and took her in the house and got her some different clothes and went to bed. The next morning they went to the ocean again and saw the mermaid and how bad they wanted to go to the ocean and see it they couldn't so they went home and every day they went back to see it. Sense they went to go see it a lot they named it Areal. Areal is a blueish color.
One day when they went back to see her and she never jumped out the water. They went home and the next day the went back and Areal was on the ground laying there. The had to keep throwing water on her to try to get her up. When she woke up the got her back in the water and she thanked them so much. So everyday she stopped by the water and talked to them .
